We Are 9's past and current projects.
Earth Day
For Earth Day, GreeND, the Progressive Student Alliance, and the Student Union Board (SUB) are presenting Earth Rocks, a concert on the quad. Students are encouraged to bring their beach towels, sit, relax, and listen to musical performances by student bands on South Quad in front of SDH. Strawberries and locally grown apples will be provided for everyone.
The concert is supporting and drawing awareness for the "We Are 9" movement.
Photo Campaign
In the photo campaign, an individual will hold the “We Are 9” poster and make a statement about why they support carbon neutrality on campus. Then, these pictures are posted on We Are 9’s social media pages, along with the quote. This allows not only for the word about We Are 9 to spread, but also for everyone to see why people support the We Are 9 campaign. Whether it be for upholding Notre Dame’s reputation in Catholic social teaching, caring about quality of life, or understanding the effect global warming has on community, it is evident that every supporter of our campaign is seeking a better, more sustainable future that addresses climate change.

Letter Drop
The letter drop entails students writing about why they believe climate change is a pressing issue and why the university should address it by ending their dependence on coal. At each of We Are 9's campaigning events, students are encouraged to sign these letters to help demonstrate to Father Jenkin's the student support for carbon neutrality on campus. The hope is that Father Jenkins will realize the urgency of addressing climate change as a university.
The letters are going to be dropped off to Father Jenkins' office on Earth Day.

Petition Drop
On December 10, 2014, We Are 9 delivered over 1000 petition signatures calling for fossil fuel divestment to Father Jenkins' office. This was the result of a semester of campaigning, door-knocking, and other events calling attention to the need to transition to a fossil free future.
Divest like a champion today!
